The 16U level at DMV Dream Softball is a key part of our College Readiness Phase, where athletes receive high-level training, competitive experience, and personalized guidance to help them navigate the road to college softball. Meet Our Coaches

Coach Phillip Tomlin leads our 16U Showcase Team, which travels regionally to compete in high-profile tournaments in front of college scouts. Coach Tomlin is the Head Varsity Coach at St. Vincent Pallotti High School and was named the 2025 IAAM Conference Coach of the Year after leading a complete turnaround of the program in just his first year. With a proven track record in player development, recruiting, and leadership, Coach Tomlin brings energy, vision, and real results to the athletes he coaches.

Coach Ja’Seph Smith leads our 16U-B Team, a competitive squad focused on sharpening skills, growing softball IQ, and building athletic resumes. A former standout at Bowie State University, Coach Smith currently coaches at St. Vincent Pallotti High School, following time at Crofton High School. Her coaching style blends discipline, encouragement, and deep softball knowledge—helping players elevate their game and prepare for what's next.

  For advanced athletes with college aspirations, focused on high-level competition, regional showcases, and direct recruiting exposure.

• 16U-B TeamFor developing athletes ready to train hard and compete in local tournaments while building a solid foundation in preparation for the next level.
