At DMV Dream Softball, our 14U team is a key part of the Advanced Training Phase, where we build on the foundational skills developed in the 12U team. This phase is designed to prepare players for high school competition while continuing to foster a love for the game.
Meet Coach Phillip Tomlin
Our 14U team is led by Coach Phillip Tomlin, a seasoned coach with a wealth of experience and a passion for developing young athletes. Coach Tomlin currently serves as the Head Varsity Coach at St. Vincent Pallotti High School, bringing valuable expertise and a winning mindset to our program.
Our Approach
Under Coach Tomlin's leadership, the 14U team focuses on advanced skill development and preparing players for the next level of competition. We emphasize the importance of hard work, teamwork, and dedication, ensuring that each player is ready for the challenges of high school softball. Our 14U teams are structured as follows:

Development Teams (C Level): Concentrate on refining skills and building on foundational techniques to prepare for more competitive play.

B/A Level Teams: Provide higher-level competition and training for players who have shown exceptional skill and dedication, participating in competitive tournaments and showcases.
Looking Ahead: College Readiness Phase (16U-18U Teams)
As players progress from the 14U team, they move into the College Readiness Phase (16U-18U), where they encounter more competitive play and higher-level training. This phase is structured to provide tailored development based on skill level:

C Teams: Focus on foundational skills training and competitive play to prepare players for high school competition.

B Teams: Designed for players who are ready to engage in more competitive tournaments and showcases.

A Level Showcase Teams: Participate in the most competitive tournaments and showcases, providing maximum exposure to college scouts.
